Research: Stress in Football Referees

We have received the following request from Hafidzul Hanif Bin Hardiman at Reading University, who is kindly asking for your help and participation: Click here to complete the survey

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Hafidzul, and I am a third-year Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Reading. I am conducting research on the external factors influencing stress in football referees, with the aim of deepening our understanding of how match intensity, crowd pressure, media scrutiny, physical abuse, and player interactions impact referees’ stress levels.

As part of this research, I am inviting referees to participate in a survey to share their experiences and perspectives on this important topic. The survey is designed to be straightforward and will focus on their experiences and perceptions as referees.

I kindly request your assistance in sharing this survey with referees within your organization who may be willing to participate. Participation in this study is entirely voluntary, and all responses and data will be handled with strict confidentiality. Referees will also have the option to withdraw from the study at any point should they wish to do so.

If you or your referees would like further details about the study, please feel free to reach out, and I will be happy to provide more information.

Thank you for considering this request. Your support in this research is greatly appreciated, and I am grateful for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
Hafidzul Hanif Bin Hardiman
