Ken Clark
Ambassador for Reading RA, leading and guiding the association through good and bad. Always promoting the RA and all its values. Refereeing since 1979, Ken is also Regional Discipline Manager and Observer
Chairman
Malcolm Hillen
Provides leadership and direction to the Committee, encouraging a safe and confident environment to share and challenge different views, and reach agreed decisions for the benefit of RRA.
Refereeing since 2007, Malcolm is Cup Competitions Secretary for the RDSFL, Referee Appointments for ISFA South Central Region Rep’ games, Referee Appointments for Berks Schools Representative and Schools Cup games. Also a Level 5 Referee

Mike Baker
Main responsibilty is to submit proposals for our forward programme to include guest speakers and development events.
Mike has been refereeing since 1987. Qualified in Accrington (‘oo are they?) before moving to Milton Keynes, and then Reading. Currently appointments secretary for the JMA and Procision Reading academies.
Secretary
Ethan Stacey
Ethan has been a Level 4 referee since 2023-24, taking charge in the middle at Steps 5 and 6, and running the line at Steps 3, 4, and on Premier League U18 fixtures. Before this, he spent three years officiating grassroots football on Saturdays, Sundays, and in Youth leagues, where he developed his skills and passion to progress as far as possible up the refereeing ladder.
In addition to his role as Secretary of Reading RA, Ethan is also the Appointments Secretary for the Thames Valley Step 7 Men’s Open Age League. Outside of refereeing, he is a proud Chelsea fan, enjoys playing darts, and staying active.
Treasurer / Welfare
Coral John
Refereeng since 2008, on open age, Amputee, and Walking Football, referee Coral’s role in football extends across many aspects of the beautiful game. She is also a Mentor, Coach, Observer, and Developer for referees. And in football, Coral is a club coach, and Female League Chair.
Further to the critical role of protecting the financial security of Reading RA, Coral’s highly valuable Welfare role affords her the opportunity to further collaborate and support the referee community in achieving their aspirations.
Membership
Aaron Baker
Qualified with Reading RA in 2000 and been an RA member ever since, albeit a hiatus for university in the west country. Now a Level 4 Official on the Hellenic and Southern Leagues, living near Gloucester, and spending as much time watching rugby as he does football – if he’s not on a long trail run. Aaron returns to Reading for most open meetings and can assist with any membership or associated benefits queries

Steve Saunders
Returning to the committee after a few years away, Steve is keen to continue acting as an ambassador for match officials and all our members!
Refereeing since 2008, Steve is also Appointments Officer at Reading FC Academy, Referee Secretary for East Berks Football Alliance, Mentor, and Match Day Observer
